The landscape park and manor house in Betliar is considered to be one of the most beautiful manor houses and grounds in Slovakia.The park is the largest historical parkland in Slovakia with an area of about 57 hectares. Beside the manor house, many period structures still stand in the grounds. The manor house was awarded the international,cultural heritage prize, Europa Nostra, in 1994 for sensitive reconstruction.

Smolenice castle park

Smolenice castle park is a valuable sample of the landscape park in a typical small Carpathian environment. It is one of the few parks that has never been fenced.

Park F. Schuberta in Želiezovce

Famous Austrian composer Franz Schubert worked as a music teacher in the Želiezovce manor. Park in Želiezovce was also one of the inspirations for his music. According to him, the oaks, which can still be found near the mansion (so-called Schubert's oaks), are named.

The Mlyňany Arboretum of the Slovak Academy of Sciences

The Mlyňany Arboretum, situated between two villages called Tesárske Mlyňany and Vieska nad Žitavou, belongs to the European unique object thanks to its rich collection of trees and bushes.

Park Mojmírovce

The park and the manor house were part of Huňady´s manor. Park consisted of exotic trees, bushes and plants. It was one of the prettiest parks of Upper Hungary in that decade.

Arboretum in Liptovský Hrádok

However the arboretum in Liptovský Hrádok has very small expanse, it's the highest placed arboretum in the Central Europe (646 m a.s.l.).
